The following is a community service provided by the Williamson Fire Department.
Request a fire safety inspection of your home or business
Firefighters are trained to detect issues that pose a threat to the safety and welfare of people and property. They are inherently more aware of these hazards than the average person. When you request a Fire Safety Inspection firefighters will come to your home or business and perform an informal, but detailed inspection of your property. No one is issued a citation, warning, or violation. of any kind.
The inspection will include a list of the recommendations firefighters have determined warrant the attention of the property owner. For example a routine inspection may reveal any of the following: cracked or worn out and overheated extension cords; overloaded electrical circuits; improper storage of flammable or hazardous materials; unvented heating appliances; improperly positioned smoke detectors; etc.
Over the years firefighters have discovered many of these types of hazards only after the fire was extinguished and property was severely damaged. Don't wait until its too late. Get you home or office inspected today.
